Concrete construction
Reinforced concrete structures, from raft to parapet, poured to the design office's execution drawings.
Reinforced concrete is judged at three moments: sizing, reinforcement and the pour. The last two are visible, the first is not — and it is the one that decides the rest.
Frames, walls and retaining structures, with formwork and cover checked the day before the pour rather than noted afterwards.
