Section 03.1 — 36°43'N 3°00'E — The project
What we did.
The brief required a floor area entirely free of columns to allow forklift movement. We opted for 24-metre trussed girders spaced 6 metres apart, resting on fixed-base columns.
Assembly was prepared in the workshop and bolted on site, which shortened erection time and limited welding work at height.
The double-skin cladding envelope provides thermal insulation and high-level ventilation for the hall.
